News Post 1-09-07...We hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Years Holliday! Bigwheel is back from a short break with some great new songs. We are playing at the Columbia St.Taproom this Saturday the 13th from 9:30pm-1:30pm. Mike Epstein and Mike Schoultz will be playing an acoustic set this Thursday the 11th from 8:00pm-10:00pm at the Taproom as well.

News Post 10-30-06...Don't miss Bigwheel at the River Parish Festival in Norco LA Saturday November 4th from 7:30pm till 10:00pm. We had to cancel this festival last year due to the storm so we are really looking forward to delivering a great rock show.

News Post 08-25-06...Thanks to all who made Friday night so special. It was great to have Will Cullen come play with us after such a long absence. It was like he never left! And thanks to Damon Duke from "Bottoms Up" for taking the pictures he got some great shots. Mike Schoultz and Mike Epstein picked up a last minute acoustic set at the Taproom this Thursday so we hope you all can make it. See you next time!!

News Post 08-13-06...Cate Street Pub was a huge success! It's great to know there is a great live music venue in Hammond that allows us to do our thing in that area. We were not able to get any pictures due to "technical difficulties"...OK so I forgot the camera! I'll remember next time. We will be back at the Columbia Street Taproom August 25th after the Final Friday Block Party. See you soon..

News Post 06-30-06...I finally put the pictures from the Taproom up. It was once again a great time as you can tell from the pictures! We will be playing at the Seafood festival Saturday July 1st from 530pm-700pm. This is always a great tradition for Bighweel so we hope to see every one of you there!

News Post 06-21-06...Bigwheel will be playing at the Columbia St.Taproom this Friday June 23rd from 930pm-130pm. We have been working in our band laboratory tirelessly to add new songs to our set list so expect some surprises!

News Post 05-16-06..Bighweel will be playing at Boule Prime House this Saturday May 20th from 930pm till...well...when they kick us out. Boule is a great new music venue for the North shore and we are excited to be a part of it. Due to popular demand Brandon Breaux (our keyboard/Guitar player) has learned a few more songs to sing. If you have ever seen him "front" this band you know it is sometimes unpredictable... sometimes hilarious... but it always rocks! All we need now is for you to show up and have a great time!!  

News Post 04-11-06..Mike Epstein and Mike Mike Schoults will be playing at the Columbia Street Tap Room Saturday the 15th from 8:00pm-11:00pm. No cover charge. If you have not seen Mike Epstein's acoustic performances you are missing out. That is how he got started in all of this band stuff in the first place.

 

News Post 03-19-06..Thanks to all who came out Saturday night you are way to good to us!! Everyone seemed to be in particularly great mood. We thrive on crowd participation!! April is full of private parties but try and catch us at the new Boule in May. By the way we have some great pictures up in the photo section.

News Post 02-19-06...Some of you might know by now that Bigwheel moved our Saturday show on the Columbia Street Tap Room Patio inside due to the unfortunate cancellation of Five Finger Discount's show. Our thoughts go out to Kevin Diggs and his family. We did make the best of it thanks to all who came out. We don't have any pictures due to some technical difficulties with the camera. We should have that fixed next time.   

 

 

 

News Post 02-14-06...Just wanted to let you all know that Bigwheel is playing on Saturday the 18th at 700pm during and after the Olympia parade on the Patio of the Columbia Street Tap Room. After the show you can enjoy Five Finger Discount inside the Taproom.

 

News Post 01-22-06... We would like to thank everyone for showing up ready to party Saturday night. It was the biggest crowd we have ever played for at the Tap Room!! We thought maybe people forgot about us but we were wrong!! It was great to see our old and new friends rocking out. News Post 01-16-06...Bigwheel is playing its first show at the Columbia Street Tap Room in Covington this Saturday, January 21st at 900pm. We have been slaving in rehearsals for the past few months and have a lot of built up energy. We have been working on a ton of new songs and are ready to rock you!!!!!

On behalf of Bigwheel I would like to thank all of the incredibly talented guitar players who auditioned for the spot. I am excited to introduce Ron Hotstream as our new member of the band! Ron has played in many original bands over the years while releasing many critically acclaimed CD’s. He is a guitar teacher and an all around great guy. Our first gig is January 21st at the Columbia Street Taproom. We are excited to get started again and hope to see all of you there.

Hello everyone!!  

I am sad to say that Will Cullen, our beloved guitar player and my partner in crime for the past 12 years, is relocating to Atlanta. Brent Graham our super singer/ace drummer is going back to his native country Iowa.  We will be sad to see them go. I think we can all agree that natural disasters really suck!! The rest of us are keeping the dream alive by finding new musicians. We lucked out by snagging our original founding drummer, Mike Schoultz.  We still have a long way to go with filling Will's shoes. It would be a great help if you could get the word out that Big Wheel is in search of a dynamic guitarist/singer who is willing to have a good time playing music with us. If you help us in this quest we promise to keep you entertained for years to come!! News Post 10-1-05...We hope that everyone made out ok after the hurricane. Our prayers go out to all of our family, friends, and others affected. Two musicians in Big Wheel are moving out of state due to Katrina for employment opportunities and it will leave open spots in the band. Stay tuned for an announcement of 2 new Big Wheel band members.

BIG WHEEL WILL BE PLAYING A HURRICANE SHOW THIS FRIDAY NIGHT (SEPT 23RD) AT THE COLUMBIA STREET TAPROOM. TIMES WILL BE FROM 7:00 PM TO 10:00 PM BECAUSE OF THE CURFEW.

Be sure to catch Mike and Will for their monthly acoustic show at the Columbia St. Taproom on Thursday August 25th. Then, the whole band will rock it out at Taproom that Saturday, the 27th.
